"Empowerment"

       "When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in 

        Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the 

        Lord Jesus was held in high honor. Many of those who be-

        lieve now came and openly confessed their evil deeds."

                                   ACTS 19:17-18

Power is let loose when Christian start living out the Gospel on a grass-roots level. Just read Acts 19. The early church unlocked the power of God's Word as they turned upside down their local communities. Neighbors in Ephesus were gripped with an awesome fear if God as they gathered to openly confess their waywardness. It even says they held the name of the Lord in high honor. Can you imagine such a thing in your community?

          Because first-century Christians lived out the Gospel on a local level, God got peoples attention.

And the same can happen today. The Lord wants to use this time of social unrest an political change as an unprecedented opportunity for the local church to demonstrate the power of God to change a situation, to change people's lives, to change a community.

          Empowerment involves the people closet to a problem learning how to solve it thelselves. Need a few idea? Just open your eyes. Elderly people in dilapidated houses. Suicide among teenagers. Lonely widows iss busy neighborhoods. Abused wives and batered children. Girls with unwanted prenancies. Disabled poeple needing housekeeping help. Drug abuse in schools

          These are the problems you live close to. And when believers begin living out the Gospel on a grass-roots level, God's knows how to bring salvation "O House of Israel" here's a song...

You And Your Enemies

 "Behold do not avenge yourselves, but rather
  give place to wrath; for it is written,
  "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, say the Lord."

                                                     Romans 12 : 19

Enemy is a word that makes us uncomfortable,
 isn't it? After all, christians are supposed to love
others, not have enemies except the Devil, right?
Paul made that clears, when he wrote,
"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
 but. . against the spiritual forces of wickedness in
the heavenly places" (Eph.6:12)

     Well, that's not exactly right. In that passage,
Paul wasn't telling us that we wouldn't or shouldn't
have enemies here on earth. Rather, he was trying 
to help us keep a proper perspective, reminding us 
that whatever enemies we're confronted with have 
Spiritual forces at their root.

    This seems more realistic, doesn't it? Let's face
 it, we all have enemies: the boss who warns us to 
never bring our religion" to work, the coworker 
who look for opportunities to sabotage us, and the
 neighbor who thinks our yard is his dog's potty 
spot."

    Enemies are a fact of life. Thankfully, though, 
God has given us some "rules engagement." In 
Roman 12:14-21, we'll learn how to live with 
friends and enemies alike-- and honor Christ in 
all situations.

    Responding to enemies God's way can be 
down right scary. After all, there's no guarantee 
that our kindnes will change their feelings and 
actions toward us; they may continued to try to 
hurt us. During times like these, we need 
protection. In verse 19 you'll find God's 
promise of divine proctection and purpose. 

    One of the hardest areas in which to trust God
 is in the matter of justice. When we perceive an 
injustice, we want to see the guilty party punished.
 We want justice to prevail. Especially if we are 
the victim. We become impatient if we are not 
avenged quickly. Yet God warn us that vengeance
 is not our  prerogative. We are to desire justice, 
but we are not to seek vengeace (Mic.6:8). When 
someone offends us, our responsibility is to 
respond to the offense with forgiveness (Matt.5:44).
 God takes the responsibility to see that justice is 
done. God loved people too much to allow sin to go 
unchecked.

    Peter claimed that God is not slow about His 
promises to us. But He is patient and long-suffering 
before He brings about judgment (2 Pet.3:9). Yet 
ultimately God has prepared for absolute justice.
 There will be no sin committed that He will leave 
unpunished. Either the punishment will fall on His 
Son or it will be charged against the sinner, but 
everyone will ultimately give an account for 
everything they have done (2Cor.5:10).

    God is absolutely just, and only He can endure 
that justice is fully carried out. If we are impatient 
and seek revenge, we presume that we are wiser 
than God, and we reveal a blatant lack of trust that 
God will do the right thing. Only trusting God's 
sovereign wisdom will we be free from our anger
 and preoccupation toward those who have 
committed evil. If we refuse to trust God's justice, 
we bevome enslaved to bitterness abd anger. 
We must guard our hearts and trust God to 
exercise His judgment against tjose who oppose 
Him.

"Live By Grace"

"And he said to them, "you yourselves know how unlawful it is for a man who is a Jew to associate with a foreigner or to visit him; and yet God has shown me that I should not call any man unholy or unclean." ACTS 10 : 28

  The seed that Jesus planted in His disciples' minds in Matthew 9: 10-11 finally took root in Peter's life in above verse. Just like the stuffed-shirted, straight-lice Pharisees in Jesus time, there will always be people who do not want you to enjoy the liberty of God's grace even today! They will attempt to pour you into their mold. If you refuse, they'll criticise you. Watch out for them. Their favorite method is to intimidiate you. Their favorite response is to get you to imitate them. Their favorite objective is to destroy your freedom by bring you into subjection.

Some Practical Expectations. 

  Living by grace is our only defense against legalism. And here are four things you can expect if you live according to the "grace principle." 

First, you will have a greater appreciation of the gifts God has given you. 

Second, you will spend less time and energy preoccupied with other peoples's choices

Third, you will become more tolerant and joyful while becoming less prejudiced and Judgmental.

Fourth, you will take a giant step toward maturity. Live by grace and, before you know it, your face will begin to show it. Live by legalism and your face will eventually show its effects too. The real question we must ask ourself is this: Do I want to look like Pharisee or do I want to look like Jesus!

"What is Good!"

               "You will seek me and find me when 

                   You seek me with all your heart."

         Have you ever lost something that you didn't really expect to find again? Sure you rummaged around the house looking for it, but since you didn't actually think you'd ever find it, you didn't really look with much hope or expectation. You know what happens in those situation? Since you don't expect  to find it, you rarely do.

         Some people look for Me like that. "Oh God's out there, but He's so far above me. I'll never reach Him." Believe Me when I say that if you'll put your heart into looking for Me, you will find Me! I am so closer to you. Open the eyes of your heart and really look Expect Me to be here, because Here I am. 

         This lead me prayed and read the Bible in Genesis from the beginning. Lord you searchlight penetrates my human spirit, exposing every hidden motive. You actually gave me your Spirit (not the world's spirit) so i can know the wonderful things you have given us. I am a child of God, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the Spirit of God, and led by the Spirit of God. I listen to my heart as I look to my spirit inside me.

"The Invitation"

          "Now when they heard this, they were cut ti the heart, and said to

         Peter and the rest of the apostle, Men and brethen, what shall we do?'"

                                                ACTS 2 : 37

The sword was turned loose that day by Peter and he preached the Word of God concerning sin and judgement and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The sword pierced the hearts of the people who listened in such a way that the Scripture says they gave the invitation instead of the preacher! They asked, "what are we to do?"

           Hebrews 4:12 says, "for the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart." This passage is militant about the Bible. It says the Scripture is alive, powerful and can pierce the heart of men, even causing an enemy to retreat. It is useful for discerner truth, and it is the most dreaded weapon we can use against the enemy. A metal sword may gets dull as you use it, but the sword of the Spirit requires nothing. It carries its own power, and is able to function apart from. The soldier's hand. A metal sword wounds to hurt, but the sword of the Spirit wounds to heal.

          "The sword of the spirit, unleashed, has the power to cut right into the heart of a person. Sometimes they respond with anger to the truth. Have you ever experienced the word of God like that? Have you ever heard a sermon and known that every word was directed tight at your heart? That's the sword of the Spirit at work.

"Your Glory"

        "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, 

        as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole 

         house where they were sitting.

                                      ACTS 2 : 2

          It is really possible that Holy Spirit can change us totally? Absolutely. If the Lord could turn mud into man by His breath, think what He can do by breathing on us again! That is what hsppened at Pentencost.

          Those who gathered in upper room felt  the breath of almighty God. And they were transformed. When the Holy Spirit empowers your life, you can expect three things to happen

           * The Lord will become very close to you.

           * Because of that relationship, your ultimate

              desire will be to walk in the ways of God

           * You will be miraculously transformed into a

              new person

I am convinced that the Holy Spirit,alive and present on the earth today, is a sign of the covenant God has made with us through the blood of His Son Jesus. 

           In Him you also trusted you heard the word of truth,the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise ( Eph.1-13 ). That He will revealed to you because of that relationship. This is the song that  He revealed to me.
