YOUR OBEDIENCE IS VICTORY

Then the Lord turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites Have I sent you?"
JUDGES 6:14

IN GIDEON'S MIND, VICTORY OVER THE MIDIANITES was an impossibility, and he was absolutely right! The Medianites, along with their allies, overwhelmed the feeble Hebrews. Yet the moment God told Gideon to fight them, victory was no longer an impossibility!
When Jesus commanded His small group of followers to make disciple of all nations, was that impossible (Matthew 28:19)? Certainly, if Jesus said it was! When Jesus told His disciples to love their enemies, was He being realistic? Of course, because He was the One who would achieve reconciliation through them (2Cor5:1920).
Do you treat commands like these as implausible? Do you modified God's Word to find an interpretation that seems reasonable to you? Don't discount what is possible with God (Phil. 4:13). When God gives an assignment, it is no longer an impossibility, but rather it is an absolute certainty. When God gives you a seemingly impossible task the only thing preventing it from coming to pass  is your disobedience. When God speaks, it can scare you to death! He will lead you to do things that are impossible in your own strength. But God will grant you victory, step-by-step, as you obey him. How do you respond to assignments that seem impossible? Do you write them of as attainable? Or do you immediately adjust your life to God's revelation, watching with anticipation to see how He will accomplish His purposes through your obedience? God wants to do the impossible through your life. All He requires is your obedience. And your obedience is victory.

To them that believe

An example of this is found in Mark 5:25-28, where the woman. With the issue of blood said, "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." She continued to speak until she SAW HERSELF WE'LL! This woman hoped to be healed as she pressed through the crowd. The Amplified Bibles says, "For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health."
That hope was her goal, but she didn't Feel healed and she didn't look healed. But she began filling hope with faith-filled words: "I shall be restored to health. I shall be... I Shall Be..."
Then she began to answer human  reasoning by being more specific: "when I touch His garment I shall be restored to health."
She was filling her Hope with a Faith IMAGE. She set her own point of contact to receive her healing. Her words penetrated her spirit and she began to see herself well. That "grow worse" image of despair and defeat had to give way to the FAITH-FILLED WORDS that came from her own mouth.
When she touched His clothes, her touch of faith made a demand on the covenant of God and the ANOINTING that was upon Jesus.
What she was saying was her faith talking. When she acted out what she said and touched His garment, that faith moves that was her became the substance of her hope, and her words became a living reality. Notice it was her faith made a demand on the healing anointing that was upon Jesus. Faith gave substance to her hope and healing was manifested IN HER BODY. Healing that was already hers because of the covenant. But she had to call for it. Look at the words of Jesus: "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THEM THAT BELIEVE..." Mark 9:23

Temple of God

Do you not know that you are a temple of God that the spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroy the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy and that is what you are.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Trying to become more holy by doing certain things is common mistake many people make. Consider the temple in the Old Testament. It was considered holy because that's where God lived. Things have changed now, God doesn't live in an Old temple but instead lives inside you. Whenever He lives is made holy by His Presence there. That means you are holy, right now at this very moment. Paul didn't suggest that you are to try to become holy but said that you are God's temple and that, since God is holy, that is what you are.
You may not feel or even act holy at times, but that's not what determines the truth on this matter. The Spirit of God lives in you, and that alone is what makes you holy. Your need isn't to try to become holy but to recognize that, because of Him, you already are. When you see that, your lifestyle will begin to conform to that truth

SEE YOURSELF TRUE

The Angel of the Lord appeared to him a d said to him, "The Lord is with you, O  Valiant warrior." Then Gideon said to him, "O my Lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, Did not the Lord bring g us up from Egypt?" But now the Lord has abandoned us and gives us into the hand of Midian."
JUDGES 6:12-13

Gideon was a small man in the smallest tribe of Israel. When God called him to lead the people in the battle, his own sense of inadequacy flooded his thoughts and feeling. Note how the Angel of the Lord addressed him: "The Lord is with you, O valiant warrior."
God sees things about you that may not see or know about yourself. He saw Gideon's true identity when the man himself didn't see it at all. He knows the same about you. Believe what He says about you in Scripture. Embrace and act on the identity He has given you, regardless of whatever you feel it or think it. What God says about you is true. You can base your actions on your true identity even when your emotions contradict the truth.

HOLY PLEASURE

You shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God, at the place where He chooses to establish His name, the tithes of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always... You may spend the money for whatever your heart desired; and there you shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God and Rejoice, you and your household.
DEUTERONOMY 14:23,26

IN this passage God instructed His people to enjoy life to the fullest so that they might learn to fear Him. What a wonderful way for Him to teach how much He loved them! It's difficult to read this passage and not conclude that our God takes delight in our pleasure. He isn't a cosmic killjoy. He is the source and origin of pleasure itself.
Never allow the idea to take root in your mind that your Father is opposed to playfulness and pleasure. Satan may have corrupted those domains, but those who know the Lord need to reclaim these as rightful privileges of the children of the king.
Honor your God today by celebrating with others. Laugh, love, and learn that deep reverence toward Him comes from realizing that He delight to see us at play.

LEARN TO NAVIGATE THE STORM

He commands and raises the stormy wind...and He brings th out of their distress.
Psalm 107:25,28

The ancient people of the nation of Axum (located on the Red Sea in modern Ethopia) discovered that the stormy winds of the monsoon season could be harnessed by sail for speedy navigation Rather than dreading the high winds and rains, they learned how to navigate their way through the storm.
Psalm 107 provides a wonderful word picture of how God allows storm to come our way, and then provides help for us to navigate through them. "He command and raises the stormy wind... and He brings them out of their distresses" (PS. 107:25, 28).
Trusting God for guidance in troubled times is a biblical theme. Hebrews 11 list many who used their problems as an opportunity to excercise faith and to experience God's grace, provision, and deliverance; "who through the eyes of faith subdued kingdoms, work righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword. [and] out of weakness were made strong" (vv.33-34)
Stormy circumstances are inevitable. Although our first reaction may be to run from the problem. We can instead ask, God's to teach us how to trust Him to navigate us through the storm.
