You Are Fully covered

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
Psalms 121:5-8 (KJV)

The person into which you entrust your life determines your ultimate security. There are some who have entrusted their life in the hands of the devil, either through ignorance or fully aware of it. Such people trust in their own wisdom, do all that they can to preserve their lives but they soon find out that they are limited and the devil is subject to God and the children of God. The sun and the moon can be used for good or evil. Dear beloved, put your life in the hands of God by accepting His Son, Jesus Christ, commit everything that belongs to you into His hand, and He will cause the moon and the sun to favour you; you will be protected from evil, and your going out and coming in shall be blessed. Hallelujah! You Are A Blessing!

You are the living Word

If we walk in the light, as he is in the light.” 1 John 1:7
>
As he is in the light! Can we ever attain to this? Shall we ever be able to walk as clearly in the light as he is whom we call “Our Father,” of whom it is written, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all?” Certainly, this is the model which is set before us, for the Saviour himself said, “Be ye perfect, even as your Father who is in heaven is perfect;” and although we may feel that we can never rival the perfection of God, yet we are to seek after it, and never to be satisfied until we attain to it. The youthful artist, as he grasps his early pencil, can hardly hope to equal Raphael or Michael Angelo, but still, if he did not have a noble beau ideal before his mind, he would only attain to something very mean and ordinary. But what is meant by the expression that the Christian is to walk in light as God is in the light? We conceive it to import likeness, but not degree. We are as truly in the light, we are as heartily in the light, we are as sincerely in the light, as honestly in the light, though we cannot be there in the same measure. I cannot dwell in the sun, it is too bright a place for my residence, but I can walk in the light of the sun; and so, though I cannot attain to that perfection of purity and truth which belongs to the Lord of hosts by nature as the infinitely good, yet I can set the Lord always before me, and strive, by the help of the indwelling Spirit, after conformity to his image. That famous old commentator, John Trapp, says, “We may be in the light as God is in the light for quality, but not for equality.” We are to have the same light, and are as truly to have it and walk in it as God does, though, as for equality with God in his holiness and purity, that must be left until we cross the Jordan and enter into the perfection of the Most High. Mark that the blessings of sacred fellowship and perfect cleansing are bound up with walking in the light.  Lord Jesus you are the living word

Winning Soul share the Goodnews

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
James 4:17 (KJV)

IT is never a minor thing to know God's will and not do it. God calls this sin. We can make excuses for luck of obedience: "I'm just not ready yet" or "I'll will make a difference" or I can't afford to! " We rationalize, we procrastinate; yet, in God's eyes, rationalization and procrastination are nothing more than disobedience. At times we decieve ourselves into thinking that good intentions equal obedient actions. They do not. A good intention without corresponding activity is disobedience. When we encounter God and He gives us a direction, it is not enough to write down the date of our Cellgroup meeting or even going to church to hear the message." God's callis not to make "decisions" but to obey!  Deciding to obey is not equal obeying (Matt. 21: 20-31)! Loudly affirming the necessity of obedience is not the same obeying read (Luke 6:46). Making commitments, even publicly, is not the same as obeying our Lord. Substituting our own good works is not  the same as obeying. Here. God told king Saul to wait until the prophet Samuel arrived. Instead of waiting, Saul took matters into his own hands and offered a sacrifice. Saul discovered, to deep dismay, that other acts of supposed piety do not take the place of obeying a clear command from God (1 Samuel 15:22). As with Saul, God expects you to obey everything exactly as He tells you. Only obedience satisfies God's desire for obedience! The prophetic here is in (Matt. 21:31) it is not me talking it is Jesus Christ. " Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into kingdom of God before you.

SON OF THE LIVING GOD

Whom do you say that I the Son of man am?
MATTHEW 16:13

Jesus, walking down a dusty road with His evangelistic team of twelve apostles, arrived at the city of caesarea-Philippi at the mouth of the Jordan  River. He paused for a moment and said whom do men say that I the Son of man am? (Matt. 16:13).
I like the designation but which our Lord identified Him self-taught Son of man. The Son of God became the Son of man to make us the Son of God! Seventy-five times throughout the gospels, Jesus declared Himself to be the Son of man, thereby identifying with the problems of mankind. As the Son of man, He healed the sick, He fed the hungry, He wept with the bereaved. He understands our weaknesses and our frailties, in all points tempted likes as we are (Hebrew. 4:15) He is the true Son of man. He is acme of manhood. He is the apex of manliness the tallest, the noblest of men. He is the perfect example of what God ordained man to be.
Jesus knew Himself to be the Son of God, but humbly identified Himself as the Son of man in order to lead and guide humanity by His example. He also realized that the Jews did not know that He was the fulfillment of Prophecy- the promised messiah of Israel. He did not ask what the Scribes and Pharisees were saying about Him. He wanted to know what the common people thought about the miracles that followed Him wherever He went. Therefore, He said: whom do men say that I the Son of man am? (v. 13). And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist : some, Elias; and other Jeremias, or one of the prophets (v. 14).
Everywhere they went, the disciples heard the subject discussed, and had often questioned among themselves, "Who is He?" some believed Him to be the ghost of John the Baptist, who had beheaded by Herod Antipast for preaching repentance. Others thought the Prophecy in Malachi 4:5 that God would send the Prophet Elijah back to them. Was fulfilled in this man. He said unto them, but whom say ye that I Am? And Simon Peter answer and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God (vv. 15-16) No doubt John the beloved was ready to answer. Philip possibly would have said something if he been fast enough. Andrew would would have been glad to make a statement, but Peter instantly broke the silence. By temperament, he seemed to be the spokesman for the group, and the answer flowed from Peter like a gushing River. Since the time Jesus had come to them walking on the water (Matt 14 :25-33), they were sure that He was Son of God, but now the Words came from Peter like explosion.
We know who you are! You are the Christ, the Messiah, the Son of the Living God! you are the One who is promised to Israel! Peter's confession is the greatest single declaration ever made by man  throughout history. It forever identified Jesus of Nazareth as the Christ of God. Around that one statement have been  fought the greatest world battles in all ages of Christendom.
The mystery was revealed. Jesus of Nazareth was none other than the exclusive, unique, only-begotten of the Father in heaven. He was born by the mysterious Fatherhood of God which no human intellect has fully comprehend born before the universe was created in the infinite past, so remote that no chronicle of events concerning it has been released. But somewhere in the throne room of eternity, Elohim conceived a son and cried, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God! And in this instant of time God revealed that truth to Peter and the others. Yes, Jesus, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God!

Jesus Christ Makes Life Simple!

Jesus Christ Makes Life Simple! On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:40 (KJV)

The world is becoming complex each day and many people, especially those in the undeveloped or developing countries are finding it difficult to move with the time. Jesus Christ knew that this era will come so he put all the commandments of God into just two: you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and you shall love your neighbour as yourself, Matthew 22:37-39. This should make somebody celebrate God and Jesus Christ for making life so simple for His children. It is easy to memorize these two commandments and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can live by them. When we love God and express this love to our fellow human beings, they quickly notice it and respond to it because everyone wants to be loved. The Love of God is the most powerful weapon on earth to win souls into the Kingdom of God. Let’s spread the love and make things easy for others. Hallelujah! You Are More Than Conquerors!

Amazing love

“Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 2:1 (KJV)

Christ has grace without measure in himself, but he hath not retained it for himself. As the reservoir empties itself into the pipes, so hath Christ emptied out his grace for his people. “Of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” He seems only to have in order to dispense to us. He stands like the fountain, always flowing, but only running in order to supply the empty pitchers and the thirsty lips which draw nigh unto it. Like a tree, he bears sweet fruit, not to hang on boughs, but to be gathered by those who need. Grace, whether its work be to pardon, to cleanse, to preserve, to strengthen, to enlighten, to quicken, or to restore, is ever to be had from him freely and without price; nor is there one form of the work of grace which he has not bestowed upon his people. As the blood of the body, though flowing from the heart, belongs equally to every member, so the influences of grace are the inheritance of every saint united to the Lamb; and herein there is a sweet communion between Christ and his Church, inasmuch as they both receive the same grace. Christ is the head upon which the oil is first poured; but the same oil runs to the very skirts of the garments, so that the meanest saint has an unction of the same costly moisture as that which fell upon the head. This is true communion when the sap of grace flows from the stem to the branch, and when it is perceived that the stem itself is sustained by the very nourishment which feeds the branch. As we day by day receive grace from Jesus, and more constantly recognize it as coming from him, we shall behold him in communion with us, and enjoy the felicity of communion with him. Let us make daily use of our riches, and ever repair to him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own purse.

Evening and the morning He is Lord

"The evening and the morning were the first day.”
Genesis 1:5

Was it so even in the beginning? Did light and darkness divide the realm of time in the first day? Then little wonder is it if I have also changes in my circumstances from the sunshine of prosperity to the midnight of adversity. It will not always be the blaze of noon even in my soul concerns, I must expect at seasons to mourn the absence of my former joys, and seek my Beloved in the night. Nor am I alone in this, for all the Lord’s beloved ones have had to sing the mingled song of judgment and of mercy, of trial and deliverance, of mourning and of delight. It is one of the arrangements of Divine providence that day and night shall not cease either in the spiritual or natural creation till we reach the land of which it is written, “there is no night there.” What our heavenly Father ordains is wise and good. What, then, my soul, is it best for thee to do? Learn first to be content with this divine order, and be willing, with Job, to receive evil from the hand of the Lord as well as good. Study next, to make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice. Praise the Lord for the sun of joy when it rises, and for the gloom of evening as it falls. There is beauty both in sunrise and sunset; sing of it, and glorify the Lord. Like the nightingale, pour forth thy notes at all hours. Believe that the night is as useful as the day. The dews of grace fall heavily in the night of sorrow. The stars of promise shine forth gloriously amid the darkness of grief. Continue thy service under all changes. If in the day thy watchword be labour, at night exchange it for watch. Every hour has its duty, do thou continue in thy calling as the Lord’s servant until he shall suddenly appear in his glory. My soul, thine evening of old age and death is drawing near; dread it not, for it is part of the day; and the Lord has said, “I will cover him all the day long.”

Blotted out your sin

"Thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work.” Psalm 92:4

Do you believe that your sins are forgiven, and that Christ has made a full atonement for them? Then what a joyful Christian you ought to be! How you should live above the common trials and troubles of the world! Since sin is forgiven, can it matter what happens to you now? Luther said, “Smite, Lord, smite, for my sin is forgiven; if thou hast but forgiven me, smite as hard as thou wilt;” and in a similar spirit you may say, “Send sickness, poverty, losses, crosses, persecution, what thou wilt, thou hast forgiven me, and my soul is glad.” Christian, if thou art thus saved, whilst thou art glad, be grateful and loving. Cling to that cross which took thy sin away; serve thou him who served thee. “I beseech you therefore, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Let not your zeal evaporate in some little ebullition of song. Show your love in expressive tokens. Love the brethren of him who loved you. If there be a Mephibosheth anywhere who is lame or halt, help him for Jonathan’s sake. If there be a poor tried believer, weep with him, and bear his cross for the sake of him who wept for thee and carried thy sins. Since thou art thus forgiven freely for Christ’s sake, go and tell to others the joyful news of pardoning mercy. Be not contented with this unspeakable blessing for thyself alone, but publish abroad the story of the cross. Holy gladness and holy boldness will make you a good preacher, and all the world will be a pulpit for you to preach in. Cheerful holiness is the most forcible of sermons, but the Lord must give it you. Seek it this morning before you go into the world. When it is the Lord’s work in which we rejoice, we need not be afraid of being too glad.

Abandonment is Impossible

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isaiah 49:15 (KJV)

When a mother abandons her newborn   baby, the event usually makes the news. Peoples shake their heads in disbelief because there is no bond quite like that between a new mother and her nursing child. There is almost no limit to the sacrifice that a mother would make for her baby. She would do almost anything for the well-being of that child. Nothing is too much, it seems.
God wants you to know that the likelihood of a mother forsaking and forgetting her child may be small, but the chance of Him forgetting you a nonexistent. His love for you we cause Him to pour out compassion on you forever. No circumstances, no sin, no problem nothing at all could ever affect His disposition and actions toward you.
You are His precious child. He gave His Son's life for you so that He could give His life to you. His love for you never vacillates for any reason. You can take comfort in knowing that you are His a d will forever be the focus of His love.

Jesus is source of your life

Christ, who is our life.”
Colossians 3:4

Paul’s marvellously rich expression indicates, that Christ is the source of our life. “You hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins.” That same voice which brought Lazarus out of the tomb raised us to newness of life. He is now the substance of our spiritual life. It is by his life that we live; he is in us, the hope of glory, the spring of our actions, the central thought which moves every other thought. Christ is the sustenance of our life. What can the Christian feed upon but Jesus’ flesh and blood? “This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.” O wayworn pilgrims in this wilderness of sin, you never get a morsel to satisfy the hunger of your spirits, except ye find it in him! Christ is the solace of our life. All our true joys come from him; and in times of trouble, his presence is our consolation. There is nothing worth living for but him; and his lovingkindness is better than life! Christ is the object of our life. As speeds the ship towards the port, so hastes the believer towards the haven of his Saviour’s bosom. As flies the arrow to its goal, so flies the Christian towards the perfecting of his fellowship with Christ Jesus. As the soldier fights for his captain, and is crowned in his captain’s victory, so the believer contends for Christ, and gets his triumph out of the triumphs of his Master. “For him to live is Christ.” Christ is the exemplar of our life. Where there is the same life within, there will, there must be, to a great extent, the same developments without; and if we live in near fellowship with the Lord Jesus we shall grow like him. We shall set him before us as our Divine copy, and we shall seek to tread in his footsteps, until he shall become the crown of our life in glory. Oh! how safe, how honoured, how happy is the Christian, since Christ is our life!

He is Lord

The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7

“Cleanseth,” says the text—not “shall cleanse.” There are multitudes who think that as a dying hope they may look forward to pardon. Oh! how infinitely better to have cleansing now than to depend on the bare possibility of forgiveness when I come to die. Some imagine that a sense of pardon is an attainment only obtainable after many years of Christian experience. But forgiveness of sin is a present thing—a privilege for this day, a joy for this very hour. The moment a sinner trusts Jesus he is fully forgiven. The text, being written in the present tense, also indicates continuance; it was “cleanseth” yesterday, it is “cleanseth” today, it will be “cleanseth” tomorrow: it will be always so with you, Christian, until you cross the river; every hour you may come to this fountain, for it cleanseth still. Notice, likewise, the completeness of the cleansing, “The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin”—not only from sin, but “from all sin.” Reader, I cannot tell you the exceeding sweetness of this word, but I pray God the Holy Ghost to give you a taste of it. Manifold are our sins against God. Whether the bill be little or great, the same receipt can discharge one as the other. The blood of Jesus Christ is as blessed and divine a payment for the transgressions of blaspheming Peter as for the shortcomings of loving John; our iniquity is gone, all gone at once, and all gone forever. Blessed completeness! What a sweet theme to dwell upon as one gives himself to sleep.

The Earth is Lord and fulness thereof

“Let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.”
Psalm 72:19 (KJV)

This is a large petition . To intercede for a whole city needs a stretch of faith, and there are times when a prayer for one man is enough to stagger us. But how far-reaching was the psalmist’s dying intercession! How comprehensive! How sublime! “Let the whole earth be filled with his glory” It doth not exempt a single country however crushed by the foot of superstition; it doth not exclude a single nation however barbarous. For the cannibal as well as for the civilized, for all climes and races this prayer is uttered: the whole circle of the earth it encompasses, and omits no son of Adam. We must be up and doing for our Master, or we cannot honestly offer such a prayer. The petition is not asked with a sincere heart unless we endeavour, as God shall help us, to extend the kingdom of our Master. Are there not some who neglect both to plead and to labour? Reader, is it your prayer? Turn your eyes to Calvary. Behold the Lord of Life nailed to a cross, with the thorn-crown about his brow, with bleeding head, and hands, and feet. What! can you look upon this miracle of miracles, the death of the Son of God, without feeling within your bosom a marvellous adoration that language never can express? And when you feel the blood applied to your conscience, and know that he has blotted out your sins, you are not a man unless you start from your knees and cry, “Let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.” Can you bow before the Crucified in loving homage, and not wish to see your Monarch master of the world? Out on you if you can pretend to love your Prince, and desire not to see him the universal ruler. Your piety is worthless unless it leads you to wish that the same mercy which has been extended to you may bless the whole world. Lord, it is harvest-time, put in thy sickle and reap.

God is Love

Thou crownest the year with thy goodness.”
Psalm 65:11

All the year round, every hour of every day, God is richly blessing us; both when we sleep and when we wake his mercy waits upon us. The sun may leave us a legacy of darkness, but our God never ceases to shine upon his children with beams of love. Like a river, his lovingkindness is always flowing, with a fulness inexhaustible as his own nature. Like the atmosphere which constantly surrounds the earth, and is always ready to support the life of man, the benevolence of God surrounds all his creatures; in it, as in their element, they live, and move, and have their being. Yet as the sun on summer days gladdens us with beams more warm and bright than at other times, and as rivers are at certain seasons swollen by the rain, and as the atmosphere itself is sometimes fraught with more fresh, more bracing, or more balmy influences than heretofore, so is it with the mercy of God; it hath its golden hours; its days of overflow, when the Lord magnifieth his grace before the sons of men. Amongst the blessings of the nether springs, the joyous days of harvest are a special season of excessive favour. It is the glory of autumn that the ripe gifts of providence are then abundantly bestowed; it is the mellow season of realization, whereas all before was but hope and expectation. Great is the joy of harvest. Happy are the reapers who fill their arms with the liberality of heaven. The Psalmist tells us that the harvest is the crowning of the year. Surely these crowning mercies call for crowning thanksgiving! Let us render it by the inward emotions of gratitude. Let our hearts be warmed; let our spirits remember, meditate, and think upon this goodness of the Lord. Then let us praise him with our lips, and laud and magnify his name from whose bounty all this goodness flows. Let us glorify God by yielding our gifts to his cause. A practical proof of our gratitude is a special thank-offering to the Lord of the harvest.

Heavenly singers of God

“And these are the singers ... they were employed in that work day and night.” 1 Chronicles 9:33 Well was it so ordered in the temple that the sacred chant never ceased: for evermore did the singers praise the Lord, whose mercy endureth forever. As mercy did not cease to rule either by day or by night, so neither did music hush its holy ministry. My heart, there is a lesson sweetly taught to thee in the ceaseless song of Zion’s temple, thou too art a constant debtor, and see thou to it that thy gratitude, like charity, never faileth. God’s praise is constant in heaven, which is to be thy final dwelling-place, learn thou to practise the eternal hallelujah. Around the earth as the sun scatters his light, his beams awaken grateful believers to tune their morning hymn, so that by the priesthood of the saints perpetual praise is kept up at all hours, they swathe our globe in a mantle of thanksgiving, and girdle it with a golden belt of song. The Lord always deserves to be praised for what he is in himself, for his works of creation and providence, for his goodness towards his creatures, and especially for the transcendent act of redemption, and all the marvellous blessing flowing therefrom. It is always beneficial to praise the Lord; it cheers the day and brightens the night; it lightens toil and softens sorrow; and over earthly gladness it sheds a sanctifying radiance which makes it less liable to blind us with its glare. Have we not something to sing about at this moment? Can we not weave a song out of our present joys, or our past deliverances, or our future hopes? Earth yields her summer fruits: the hay is housed, the golden grain invites the sickle, and the sun tarrying long to shine upon a fruitful earth, shortens the interval of shade that we may lengthen the hours of devout worship. By the love of Jesus, let us be stirred up to close the day with a psalm of sanctified gladness.

THE LORD Was THERE

“Whereas the Lord was there.”
Ezekiel 35:10 (KJV)

Edom’s princes saw the whole country left desolate, and counted upon its easy conquest; but there was one great difficulty in their way—quite unknown to them—“The Lord was there;” and in his presence lay the special security of the chosen land. Whatever may be the machinations and devices of the enemies of God’s people, there is still the same effectual barrier to thwart their design. The saints are God’s heritage, and he is in the midst of them, and will protect his own. What comfort this assurance yields us in our troubles and spiritual conflicts! We are constantly opposed, and yet perpetually preserved! How often Satan shoots his arrows against our faith, but our faith defies the power of hell’s fiery darts; they are not only turned aside, but they are quenched upon its shield, for “the Lord is there.” Our good works are the subjects of Satan’s attacks. A saint never yet had a virtue or a grace which was not the target for hellish bullets: whether it was hope bright and sparkling, or love warm and fervent, or patience all-enduring, or zeal flaming like coals of fire, the old enemy of everything that is good has tried to destroy it. The only reason why anything virtuous or lovely survives in us is this, “the Lord is there.” If the Lord be with us through life, we need not fear for our dying confidence; for when we come to die, we shall find that “the Lord is there;” where the billows are most tempestuous, and the water is most chill, we shall feel the bottom, and know that it is good: our feet shall stand upon the Rock of Ages when time is passing away. Beloved, from the first of a Christian’s life to the last, the only reason why he does not perish is because “the Lord is there.” When the God of everlasting love shall change and leave his elect to perish, then may the Church of God be destroyed; but not till then, because it is written, Jehovah Shammah, “The Lord is there
