ISAIAH 40:31

"But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength they will fly high on wings like eagles they will run and not grow weary. They will walk and 'ot faint.
Isaiah 40:31(NLT)
Whether the promises of God are for believer or given to the church. God words is true. His judgment are just, and His promises are "Yes" and "Amen." for those thqt believe His word, wait on Him, abide in Him and He in us.
At the end of Isaiah chapter 40,we read some well-loved, verses that have encourage this new generation through many century of time. Youth may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength they will rise up high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." There are difficulties in life that today overwhelm the strongest of people, fears that gnaw at the stouted of human hearts and young men who grow faint and weary. They stumble and fall because they rely on their own inner strength and human resources. Which are not a sufficient shield in the storm of life. Six night without sleep i was wrestling with the devil. But the Name of Jesus is above all things i declared. Only the power from abovevis sufficient to sustain us. Only His protective hand ca' shelter us from the storms of lufe and not our own limited, human abilities.
These words of comfort were given to you as a believer aftee Isaiah repeated warning of approaching punishment if they did not repent of their evil ways nevertheless... The Lord is good of comfort and grace. He never goes back on His loving kindness. He gives grace to the humble and renew the strength of those that wait upon Him in faith.
Although tgese words were addresses to you they have an application in the lives of all God's people. They are call to us all to turn from wrong doing in our lives and live by faith and not by sight. To trust in the Lird with all our heart and not to lean on our own understanding.
It is faith in His word that is needed to soar with wings as eagles. It is trusting God to bring to pass all He has promised even when our senses and logic seem to suggest the opposite or appear to contradict His promised. The truth is those who wait on the Lord are those who have the assurance and inner confidence that the promises He has made to His people, and the things for which we hope for, are a matter of fact and a present reality... 'that cannot be contracted by senses, emotions, reason or fear. The Lord our God is faithful and true to His word and He satisfies our year with good yhings so that our youth is renewed like that of an eagles. He is good to those who wait for Him, and He has promised that His grace is sufficient for us, and bring us good things, no matter how weary we may become, for His power is perfected in our weaknesses
God grace is sufficient for every circumstances of life it is sufficient for every difficulty we may face or any challenge life that throws at us there are evil people doing witchcraft in this pandemic world. I believe they are scattered to host this evil work i see it and this is my testimony. I speak the blood of Jesus in my house. (Act 16:31).
Those who confidently manage their christian walk by relying on their own personal talents, skill, capacities, and capabilities eventually discover thzt their strength is insufficient for their needs. In time they are brought to the very end of themselves until they can admit that the refreshments they desperately need has been drawn from the broken cistern of old. Adamic life and will eventually run dry. For the enemy-source that is powered through the fleshly self-like, will in time be drained of all it s self-induced efforts when a believer truly identifies with his savior and trust in Jesus Christ's capacities alone for hus journey through life, it is then that God's strength is made perfect in our weaknesses.
It is then that the wind of God will lift us up on eagles' wing and carry us through life's stresses and strain.
It is when the man or woman of God is prepared to admit their weakness and capabilities, that they are enabled by Him to draw from the bottomless well of His everlasting supply, the store house and drink deeply from the living waters of God's suoer abundant provision. It is then that the spiritual battery is regenerated and renewed by Christ limitless power, enabling us to run the straight-race which is the righeousness of God and the joythat He has given us, His strength to run in such as to finished and win the prized, for tge upward call of God in our Lord. JESUS CHRIST.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE WISE AS SERPENT AND HARMLESS AS DOVES

Question: "What does it mean to be wise as serpent and harmless as doves
(Matthew10:16)?
Answer: In sending out the twelve, Jesus said to them, "Behold I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves; be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves"
(Matthew 10:16kJV). The NIV  says," shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves."
Jesus was using similes (Figure of speech that compare two unlike things) to instruct His disciples in to behave in their Ministry. Just before he tells then to be wise as serpent and harmless as doves, He wants them that they were being sent out like sheep among wolves."
The world, when as now, was hostile to believers not incidentally hostile, but purposefully hostile. Wolves are intentional about the harm they inflict upon sheep. In such an environment the question becomes. "How can we advance the kingdom of God effectively without becoming predetory ourselves?
Jesus taught His followers that, to be  christlike in a godless world, they must combine the wisdom of the serpent with the harmlessness of the doves.
In using these similes, Jesus invokes the common proverbial view of serpent and doves. The serpent was "subtle or. "craftly" or shrewd.
In Genesis 3:1 the doves, on the other hand, was thought of as innocent and harmless doves were listed among the  "clean animals" and were day, doves are used as symbol of peace and snakes are thought of as sneaky."
Nineteenth-century Pastor charles Simeon provides a wonderful comments on the serpent and doves imagery. "now the wisdom of the one and the harmlessness of the other are very desirable to be combined in the Christians character, because it is by such an union only that the christian will be enabled to cope successfully with his more powerful enemies" (Horea Homileticae, Matthew, vol. 11, London Holdsworth and Ball, p318).
Most people don't mind having their character compared to a doves purity and innocence. But some people recoil at the image of a serpent no matter what the context. They can hear see a snake in a good light, even when used by Jesus as a teaching tool. But we should not make too much of the simile. We cannot attach the evil action of Satan (as a serpent) with the serpent itself. Animal are not moral entities. The creatures itself cannot perform sin, and shrewdness is an asset, not a defect. This is the quality that Jesus told His disciple to model. The serpent simile stands in Jesus dialogue without bringing forward only of the serpent pejoratives. It is a basic understanding in language that, when a speaker creates a similes, he is not necessarily invoking the entire potential of the words he has chosen-nor is he invoking the entire history and tenor of the linguistic vehicle. Rather, the speaker is defining a flesh relationship between the two things. A quick look at Matthew 10:16 show that Jesus was invoking only the positive aspect of the serpent. There is no hint of his unloading Edenic baggages upon His disciples. He simply tells them to be wise (and innocent) us they represented Him. When Jesus told the twelves to be as wise as serpent and harmless as doves He laid down the general principle about the technique of kingdom work. As we take the gospel to a hostile world, we must be wise avoiding the snares set for us), we must be innocent (serving the Lord blamelessly). Jesus was not suggesting that we stoop to deception, But that we should model some of the serpent famous shrewdness in apositive way. Wisdom does not equal dishonesty, and innocence does not equal quilliblity.
Let us consider Jesus as exemplar the Lord was known as gentle person. Indeed, scripture testifies that He would not even quench a smoking flax (Matthew12:20). But was He always and only) gentle? No. When the ocassion demanded it, He took him in hand and chased the moneychangers out of the temple (John 2:15).
Jesus extraordinarily rare action, seen in light of His usual mien, demonstrates the power of using a combination of tools. This "dove-like" man of innocence spoke loudly and clearly with Hus assertiveness in the temples.
In  His more typical moment, Jesus showed that He was as wise as a serpent in the way He taught. He knew enough to discern the difference in His audiences (a critical skill), He used the story telling technique to both feed and weed (Matthew 13:10-13). And He refused to be caught in the many trap that His enemies laid for Him (Mark 8:11; 10:2,12:13).
Jesus showed that He was a harmless as a dove in every circumstances. He lived a pure and Holy life (Hebrew 4:15). He acted in compassion (Matthew 9:36). And He challenged anyone to find fault in Him.
(John 8:46; 18:23). Three times pilated judged Jesus to be an innocent man. (John 18:38; 19:4,6).
The apostle Paul also modeled the "wise as serpent, harmless as doves" technique. Paul lived in dove-like innocence in good conscience before God (Acts 23:1). Learned to deny his canal desires so as not to jeopardize his ministry (1 Corinthians 9:27). But Paul also displayed serpent lije shrewdness when he needed it. He knews his legal rights and used the legal system to his advantages. (Acts 16:37; 22:25; 25:11). He also carefully crafted his speeches to maximize the impact on his audience (Acts 17:22-23,23:6-8).
In Matthew 10:16 Jesus taught us how to optimize our gospel spreading opportunities. Successful Christian living requires that we strike the optimal balance between the doves and serpent.
We should strive to gentle without being pushovers, and we must  be sacrificial  without tactics used by the enemy, but we take the high road. Peter admonishes us, "Live such good live among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visit us" (Peter 2:12).

Honor and Glory is Your

Yesterday we learned that of the many gifts God bestows, there are two things He has given us. One is vengeance. The other is glory. Glory belong to God alone, not to theologians or to church leaders, or even well-known sqints of the past or present.
Unfortunately, we often grab the glory for ourselves, proudly receiving pats on the back for spiritual job well done.
There is, however, another way to deal wuth the praise of men. Corrie ten Boom, survivor of Nazi concentration camps, accepted world wide accolades for her efforrs to protect the Jews during the world war 2 occupation of Holland. She often commented tgat she was able to accept each compliment as though it were a rosebud, gzthering many words of blessing during tge course of the day, Then in the evening, sge presented God with a big bouquet of praise. Corrie knew that glory, praise, and honor belonged only to the Lord.
But here's the amazing part. Although the glory is Gods and God's alone, He has told us in 1 Peter 5:1 that one day we will share in the glory to be revealed. How incredible of God to delight in having His glory revealed in us tgat special day. Truly, He has given us all things. What why He said in Isaiah 42:8
"l am the Lord; that is my name I will not give my glory to another or praise to idols."
God of glory, all praise and honor belong to you. You alone are worthy of adoration and wordhip. You give Your glory and praise to no one and I am pleased today to bow before Your throne and ascribe all Glory and honor to You. It amazes me, God, that one day in heaven I will share in Your glory tgank You for tgat indescribable gift. Until that day, I glory and boast in You, and You alone.

MAN POWER NO USE AT ALL

2 Thessalonians 1:7-10
The day is coming soon when God will punish those who break His Laws and reject His word. When Christ return to stand upon the mount of olives, He will begin setting account (Matthew 25:19). Bringing with Him both punishment and reward
(Isaiah 61:2-3; Matthew 25:31-46). Christ did not come to Judge the World when He was born, live, and died as a human 2,000 years ago "He who was ordained by God to be Judge the living and the dead,
"will judge the living and the dead, (Acts 10:42). At His appearing and His kingdom" (2Timothy 4:1). When confronted by the scribes and Pharisees with the women caught in adultery, Jesus does not condemn her but, instead tells her to "sin no more"
(John 8:1-11). His time as judge of all had not yet come.
Later, He plainly tells the Pharisees "I judge no more (verse15). Though they were guilty of hypocrisy and many others sins- which He severely castigated them for. He does not judge the Pharisees either. He make no move to grip them from continuing in their evil ways.
The Pharisees completely misunderstood His mission, they did not interpret the prophecies in (Isaiah 61:1-2 and Malachi 3:1). To mean the Messiah must make two appearances on earth at two different time, for two different reason. When Jesus came for the first time 2,000 year ago, He made it very clear that He would come again
(Matthew 16:27; Luke21:27; John 14:3). Read John 6 :63 what gives life is God's  Spirit, human power is no use at all.The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving spirit.

SLEEP LIKE A BABY!

Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8
SHOULD WE LIVE IN FEAR of Satan's attacked? No, because the Bible says greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. So how should we respond to Satan's cunning ways? This is it were he came in.
Where do all the fights and quarrels among you come from? They come from your desires for pleasure, which are constantly fighting within you. You want things, but you cannot have them, so you are ready to kill; you strongly desire things, but you cannot get them, so you quarrel and fight.
First, be informed. The Scripture gives us insight to his intent, his game plan, and his operation. For unfaithful people! Don't you know that to be the world's friend means to be God's enemy? If you want to be the worlds friend, you make youself God's enemy.
(James 4:5) Don't think that there is no truth in the Scripture that says, "The spirit that God placed in us is filled with fierce desires. (v. 6) But the grace that God gives is even stronger. As the scripture says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. before you go to your objective. (v7). So then, submit yourself to God. resist the Devil, and he will rin away from you. See (Ephesians 6:10). Beginning with verse 10 where Paul tells how to prepare and engage with your enemy.
We are admonished to be alert that is, to keep our heads up and be observant. Call good what is good and evil what is evil. Agree with Gods Word when it comes to right and wrong. Then, be cautious. You don't want to give the enemy even an inch of territory. That's part of James advice about resisting. You need to be careful about what comes into your home through Tv, the Internet, the movies you see, and the kind of enterainment you indulge in. Fo me i have only internet. The Holy Spirit told me stop writing go to their room ask forgiveness tell everything. The Lord said tonight had a good sleep. The time has come for Judgment to begin, and God's own people are the first to be judged. If it start with us, how will it end with those who do not believe the Good News from God? As the scripture says, "It is difficult for good people to be saved; what, then, will become of godless sinners?" So then, those who suffer because it is God's will for them, should by their good actions trust themselves completely to their Creator, who always keeps his promise.
Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Read (Ephesians 6: 10-12) The whole Armor of God. (Verse 18) Do all this in prayer for God's help. Pray on every occasion as the spirit leads. For this reason keep t alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people. Read
(Psalm 4: 7-8). I am a child of God i sleep like a baby claim it its your!

EYES YOU WILL SEE THEM

"Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them."
Isaiah 30:20
Christtian do not grieve as the world grieves. The world experiences sorrow without hope. The Christian also has sorrow, but the Christian sorrow is accompanied by hope.
God wants go refine you. Your trial is a refining. He will be true to you Let us Read (Isaiah 48:10) in amplied version "Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver, I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction." see, I haved refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnance of affliction." Your God is a consuming fire and He sits as the Refiner purging every impurity from your life. Your response? Agree with Job that "When he has tested me, I will come forth as gold."
God wants to sift you.Your trial is a sifting. You are God's grain, planted by Him and to be gathered by His hand. You are coarse and rough grain and lust pass through several processes of sifting. Each sieve is finer, "However, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace" (Hebrew12:11).
Gods wants to prune you. Your trial is a pruning. "Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes clean so that it will be even more fruitful" (John15:2). The pruning process hurts, but God is a careful gardener, and He prunes you with great skill and love.
God wants to polish your. Your trial is a polishing. You are a living stone to be carved just as it say in Psalm 144:12, "your children will be like pillar carved to adorn a palace." God wants to chisel away your rough edges.

BUT WE PRAYED

But because of them we made our prayer to our God and set a watch against them day and night
Nehemiah 4:9
Who can know the depth and intensity of the heart of God? No one could measure His sorrow over an unrepentant sinner' or His joy a spiritual rebel who relinquishes everything to Him. We can begin to undestand what is on the heart of God only when He shares His heart with us (Amos 3:7).
God's people breathe cleaner air. And they're healthier because of it. That's what Nehemiah learned while he and a handful of Israelites rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem in fifty-two days. Your enemies were relentless in their hostility. They tried numerous means to destroy the work you have. On one occasion your enemies plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it (v. 8). It would have been a simple task but their conspiracy was their undoing. To conspire means literally to "breathe together" And these enemies of God breathed each other's anger. It happen to me the same pattern of this world not for heavenly kingdom. If you've ever been in a stuffy meeting room, you know how thick the air can get. That's what happened in the spirits of the enemies. They breathed fool air and couldn't think straight.
But that's not why they failed. Notice The prophet Nehemiah comment in contrast with the enemy's activity: "But we prayed" (v. 9).
Praying allowed you, God's people to have fresh insight, on the morning the enemies leave because the right word confusion. At their camp. To make a wise decision, and let Nehemiah lead effectively. There was plenty of fresh air from above in their vertical conspiracy." The result was to "Post a guard" as a response and thus thwart the plans of the enemy. They came like a flood. But, the  Lord rise up a standard read 1 Peter 5:8-9 the same kind of sufferings. So be Be alert, be on watch! Our daily breathed dare not be amongst ourselves lest the air become stale with our own ideas and prejudices. It would only take one contemptous soul to foul our thinking.
We must ever be praying "breathed vetically if we are to have any wisdom from above.
Breathe on me, breathed on me,
Holy Spirit, breathed on me
Take thou my heart, cleanse ev'ry part,
Holy Spirit, breathed on me.

STANDING ALONE WHEN OUTNUMBERED

Remember the alamo!" This cry has immoralized that famous Texas battle in our memories.
The siege on the San Antonio mission lasted from february 23 to March 6,1836. Under General Santa Anna, 5,000 Mexican troops surrounded the Alamo and attacked it for thirteen days. Outnumbered almost 30 to 1, the Texas volunteers stood alone and fought valiantly. One by one, their ranks were thinned by the enemy's bullet and cannonballs. As the battle climaxed with a massive attacked over the mission walls, all 182 men were killed.
The volunteers strategy had been to delay the Mexican forces long enough for the Texas settlers to organize an army. And their supreme sacrifice did just that, Ashort time late, Texas troops under General Sam Houston mounted a suprise attacked at San Jacinto, captured Santa Ana, and secured independence for Texas. Even though the battle of the Alamo was lost, the war for Texas independence was won---all because of a band of dedicated men who were not afraid to stand alone when outnumbered.
Standing Alone against the world
Standing alone is never easy. Yet we have the assurance that "if God is for us, who can be against us? (Roman8:31b).God plus one always equal a majority; and, though we may lose some of the battles in this life, we know that the war will ultimately be won in eternity. The world may storm our walls, but it can't conquer our souls.
In (Roman 12:1-2) (Deuteronomy 6:10-15) Paul urgently pleads with believers to break away from the herd instinct--to stand alone with God instead of following the majority.
"I urge you therefore, brethen, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Note that the passage is not referring to the Salvation of the unsaved---"brethen"; nor is it suggesting an optional course of action---"I urge you"; nor is it implying that it will be easy "sacrifice." Instead, standing alone will take all that we have, our inner selves as well as our physical bodies, which is found in the word "present." "There is both the body to be presented and the self that does the presenting."
Putting each of these piece together, Barnhouse remarks on this passage:
Not conformed, but transformed... this is the life of the true believer in Christ. The first of these two
Illogical words, conformed, is the translation of a Greek word in the Testament and it means that we are not to go along with world's scheme. The second of these words, transformed, is the Greek word which means a very radical change from one nature and life to another. It is the word metamorphoomai which has given us our metamorphosis. When a tadpole is changed into frog or when a grub become a butterfly, we speak of it as metamorphosis. There has been a marked and more or less abrupt change in the form and structure of the creature.
The Explanation
For the believer, that change isn't cosmetic surgery but readical reconstruction---from a human shaped by the world to one being conformed to God's image, which is Jesus Christ (see Roman 8:29;1 John3:2). In others words, consecrating our lives to Christ involves our complete metaamorphosis.
Metamorphosis is seen most dramatically and beautifully in butterflies, where the larval stage differs greatly from the adult. This transformation occurs during the inactive pupal stage, in which the organsand tissues break down into liquid and are reorganized into an adult structure.
In human terms, we can sometimes grovel in the world's dirt, worming around in our little vermicular routines. But if we want more than just a seasonal changing of skins, if God is going to truly transform our lives, we'll have to lie down on the altar. Because before God can ever give us wings, He must dissolve our old self and restructure it according to His design.
Sizing Up the World's Mold
The Phillips translation of Roman 12:2 reads:  "Don't let the world around you squeeze you i to its own mould." The contours of the world's mold flow along the lines of fortune---money and materialism: fame-- popularity and acceptance; power - - influence and control; and pleasure---sensual desires. If our inner conviction lie lumped in a pliable, amorphous mass, we'll be shaped by our peers instead of by God. "Do not be deceived," Paul warns in 1Corinthians 15:33, "Bad company corrupts good morals." The wisdom of Solomon reflects the same conclusion concerning the pervasive influence of our associates:
He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will suffer harm
(Proverb13:20)
Stampeded by the Herd
If you're following the herd, before you knowit, you may findyouself caughtup in a stampede, running with the crowd at break-neck speed. And if you're not careful, hou may just find yourself plunging headlong off the sked of a moral cliff. Moses warned the Israelites of just such a peril as they were about to enter the Promised Land, where they would encounter a wild herd of Canaanites.
"Then it shall come about when the Lord your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you shall eat and be satisfied, then watch yourself lest you forget the Lord who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall fear the Lord your God; and you shall worship Him, and swear by His name. You shall not follow others gods, any of the gods of the people who surround you, for the Lord your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the Lord your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth." (Deut. 6:10-15).
Don't think for a moment that God doesn't care about the conduct of His children. Like a protective parent, He watches for dangers to which we are oblivious. How easy it would be for the Isrealites to follow the wrong role models. How easy it would be to forget who gave them the roof over their heads, the food on their plates, and the keys to their camels. Between the lines, Moses urges the adolescent nation to stand alone...to not yield to peer pressure...to not follow the pack.
Standing against the herd
Four principle emerge from this passage:
1.getting something for nothing breeds irresponsibility;
2.this,then, creates a careless attitude;
3.this,in turn, can lead to a loss of standards;
4.that lack of standardsprompts insecurity--which drives us into the "safety" of conformity.
No illustration of this stands out so clearly as the generation that entered the Promised Land. They forgot their Father and succumbed to the pressure of their peers.
How do we keep from forgetting God when the pressire of the world squeezes hard against our lives? In (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).Moses gave the Israelites a string to tie around their mental fingers.
"Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."
Moses' advice is just as timely today. If we will take it to heart, it will help us remember God in our daily lives so that we will be able to stand alone--even when outnumbered by a herd of Canaanites!

THE BUILDER MIND

The Bible stresses that what you say is an accurate indication of what is in your heart. If your words bless and encourage others, they give evidence of a compassionate heart. If you often share the good news about Christ, you demonstrate a heart that is grateful for your own salvation. When others are in a crises, do they know they will find peace and comfort in your words? Do you frequently and spontaneously offers prayers for others? Do your words and the manner in which you say them reveal a patient heart? All of these behaviors indicate a heart that is like the heart of the Father.
Or do you often regret your words? Are there people even now who are hurt or angry because of something you have said? Do you enjoy gossip? Do you tend to criticize others? Do you feel that you are not responsible for what comes out of your mouth when you are angry?  Does your mouth spew grumbling and complaints? These behaviors come from a heart that is unlike God's heart
You may say, "Oh, but that's just the way I am! I'm always saying the wrong thing!" Yet Scripture clearly states that an abusive tongue is not under the control of the Spirit (James 3:3-10).A sanctified mouth is a wonderful instrument for the Lord. A heart like Father's heart will produce only pure and loving words. Without making any excuses for your words, ask the Holy Spirit to forgive you for any words that have brought harm. Then ask Him to discipline your mouth that every word you speak is used by God to encourage and edify others. In that Love you have the builder mind in Christ Jesus.

cycle of compromise

Antipas was a real man, who was actually slain in the of the modern pergamos for his witness to Christ. It was discovered by experience that there are cities closed to the gospel of deliverance. The demon power is strongly and deeply entrenched. It is not difficult to feel darkned. Millions are in hell or on the way to hell because of the philosophy of humanism, which is athesistic to the core. Surely evil philisophers and rulers are from the rampants of hell itself. The biggest thing that the gates of hell teaches that Christianity is not a defensive mechanism. Much of the Body of Christ is always waiting for the devil to hit them. In the old times the strongest part of a city was the gates. The gates were the center learning, the center of commerce, the center of politics. That the reason why Jesus speaks of the gates. He did not speak of the wall where someone could climb up a tree and jump over. Instead, He spoke of the strongholds of the city its gates where the enemy has all of his artillery
Jesus said, "Even those gates cannot stand up before you, Go and knock them down." The biggest thing he has, the worst thing he has, knock them down. Let us read (Proverb 29:18). "Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law. And now, with a sigh, he records the failures He reminds his readers that his people had set in motion a cycle of complications. By the way that cycle is regular repeated. It isn't limited to the Ancients. Disobedience always brings a cycle of complication. God is faithful set them in motion.
The world operates on vision. God's people live by revelation. The world seeks grand and noble purpose and most satisfying things on which they can invest their lives. Institutions established goal and objectives and then organize themselves to achieve them. God's people function in a radically different way. Christians arrange their lived based on the revelation of God, regardless of whether it makes sense to them. God does not ask for our opinion about what is best for our future, our family, our church, or country. He already knows! "what God want is to get the attention of His people and reveal to us what is on His heart and what is His will, for God's ways are not our ways! (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Whenever people do not base their lives on God's revelation, they" cast off restraint." That is, they do what is right in their own eyes. They set their goals, arrange their agendas, and then pray for God's blessing. Some Christian are living far outside the will of God, yet they have the audacity to pray and ask God to bless their efforts!
The only way for you to know God's will is for Him to reveal it to you. You will never discover it on your own. When you hear from the Father, you have an immediate agenda for your life: obedience. As the writer of Proverb observered: Happy is he who keeps the law."
