"FAITH THAT BLESSED"

" So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith."
                                            GALATIAN 3 : 9

Over the last few months my backyard bird feeder hasn't been much to look at. No visitor except a few hardy sparrows. In fact, The other day I spent many long moments by the window feeling a little blue, hoping to see a few birds. Suddenly the bird feeder was abuzz with new and different Friends Finches flews out of nowhere, a mockingbird showed  up, a couple of red breasted robins hopped by to join the party, and two doves perched on a nearby fence to wait their turn for the birdseed. I sat there wide eyed and with the biggest smile. Without thinking, I exclaimed, "Thank you, Lord, for the birds!" It struck me that the entire backyard party was organized by the Lord Himself, just when I needed a lift, He brought by an array of brightly colored, happy birds. Doves and robins don't come in by chance if the Lord notice when a sparrow falls, then surely He directs  their flight paths. It's simply a matter of faith to observe God's hand in absolute everything that happens. Faith to believe that the flashing wings of a blue jay fluttering across the yard is a gift orhestrated personally by the Lord.
Perhaps the greatest honor the Scriptures ascribe to Abraham is that he was the "friend of God." As a great leader of his people, When a president leaves office, work begins on his presidential library. It is where the legacy of his life is exhibited and studied. His accomplishments, great and small are on display so that scholars and school children alike can research his life and learn. Abraham would be worthy of a museum and archive if he lived today. Instead, we have the words of Scripture that describe his greatness. We read that he was hospitable to strangers (Genesis18:1-8),he was obedience to God's laws (Genesis 24:1). Can you imagine your name being used to describe God the Father? When the Scriptures refer to the Lord as " the God of Abraham" Faith that Blessed,"
What a way to live! Those who are able to see God's sovereign hand in great or small things are full of joy. Look around you today and have faith to see His gifts. you will be blessed. Lord, today I want to see Your hand in everything that happens. Give me faith to believe that every gift is from you. help me to recoqnize the wonderful ways You minister to me today. Give me eye of faith, and shall be blessed.

"THE BEAUTY OF GRACE"

"But to each one of us grace has given as
            Christ apportioned it."           Ephesian 4:7

Grace is what beauty looks likes when it moves.
God's grace is what He looks like when He moves, acting
out His will through us.
Those on whom God's grace rest are truly. . .
Gracious. They are truly beautiful. The cerebral -palsied
Young man who smiles despite a dreary existence in a
Nursing home. They elderly woman who always seems
To think of others rather than her aches and pains. the
Mother of two toddlers who is happy to baby-sit the
Neighbor's little boy. The pastor and his wife who take in a
homeless couple for a week while they look for lodging.
These people shine with a hint of glory. They shine because
God's grace.
Grace is God's energy, all bright, beautiful, and full
Power. And grace is most beautiful when is moving through
Us to touch the lives of others who hurt.

Grace binds you with far stronger cords
Than the cords of duty or obligation
                         Can bind you.
Grace is free, but when once you take it,
You are bound forever to the Giver
And bound to catch the spirit of the
                        Giver. Like produces like.
Grace makes you gracious, the Giver
                         Makes you give.
                                                    E. Stanley Jones

Do you desire to be gracious? Christ apportions
grace. First, a small measure in accordance with
your faith, Which may be small. But then like
morning sun dawning, your faith grows and grace
fills you with its full and excellent brightness.

God of grace, I long to be beautiful in you, I long
To be gracious to others. May Your beauty shine
Through me today as I move in Your will.

"UNLOVELY TRAITS"

"Hear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy
                                                                                Psalm86:1

My spiritual battleground is not over a pack of Cigarettes
or a bottle of port. It's not in a disco or movie theatre. My spiritual
battleground is not a Backyard fence over which i gossip to my
neighbor Nor is it a fast car I race the speed limit. My paralysis
Prevents me from reaching for common temptations. That's why
my spiritual battleground is on the field of My thoughts.

I possess a very unlovely trait: I will waste precious time
In idle daydreams. I hate it because wasteful fantasies distract
Me from the real concern of life, causing me to feel restless and
Dissatisfied with the way thing are.

I draw comfort, though, knowing that my unlovely traits
Furnish me with my best discipline. The very fact that I am
Ashamed of myself drives me to God. I lie in the dust of my self
Despair at His feet and find safety and acceptance. My lazy
Thoughts make me contrite and repentant, and I am humbled
That I have to come so often to God for cleansing.

If we are to have power with the Lord, to be dear to him,
If our prayers are to prevail and if we are to be most useful to
Him, we must jerk right-side up those wrong and unlovely traits
In our lives.

Amy Carmichael  has said, "No word can declare
With that longings Divine Love waits until the heart,
All weary and sick of itself, turns to its Lord and says,
         "Take full possession."

Lord, I am poor and needy for I am so often over-
Whelmed by the unloved traits in my life. May these
Things drives me to You, whether it's pride, halfheart-
Ness, peevish temper, or impurity in thought, word,
Or deed. Good Lord, bear my prayer, and in hearing,
          Please forgive.

"WHICH LIFESTYLE"

For God so loved the world, that He gave . . .
                                      John 3: 16 NASB

The word "lifestyle" has been popular for several year
Decades. In simplest terms, this word denote how we live from
Financial standpoint, the possessions we choose to buy and
How much money we have to spend.

A great deal is being written these days about the simple
Life downshift and downscaling. At the same time, we see an
Ongoing exaltation in our culture of all that is "excessive." As a
Nation, we seem to love peering into the lifestyle of the rich and
Famous. We envy them. Every few minutes television commercials
Tell us to buy more and better possessions.

The two paths one toward a materially leaner life and the
Other toward a materially fatter life are like opposite lanes on a
Highways. We are going either in one direction or the other.
We are seeking to discard and downsize, or acquire and add.

The Scriptures call us to neither a spartan nor an opulent
Lifestyle, but rather, to a lifestyle of generosity a life without greed
Or hoarding. A life of giving freely, a life of putting everything we
Have at God's disposal. Our lifestyle is not about how much we
Earn, what we own, or where we travel and reside, It's how we
Relate to other people and how willing we are to share all we have
With them.

In Vision of a World Hungry, Thomas G. Petterpiece offers
This prayer: "Lord, help me choose a simpler lifestyle that promotes
Solidarity with the world's poor. . . Affords greater opportunity to
Work to together with my neighbors"

In Visions of touch your various possession throughtout the
Day from the appliciances at your home to your clothing and your
vehicles ask  Yourself, "Would I be willing to loan, give or share this
with other People?" Then ask even tougher question, "Do I actually
share loan, or give of my substance on a regular basis to others?"

"THING ABOVE"

"Since then, you been raised with christ, Set your heart on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things
above, not on Earthly things"                                           Colossian 3: 1-2

In this verse we are twice commanded. First, we are to set Our hearts; then second, set our minds on things above. In other words, things above are to capture our imagination, emotions, thoughts, feelings ideas, and on and on. Most of us consider this command to be not necessary as other mandates in scripture. But it is! When you consider that the first and greatest commandmentis to love the Lord with  all your heart and mind, it follows naturally that we should set our heart on things above "where Christ is seated at the right hand of God."
C.H. spurgeon once said, "Some of you, right now, could not be happy if you were allowed to enter heaven. Shall I tell You why? It is because heaven is a land of the spirit and you have neglected your spirit." It is the spiritual person who can most readily set his heart and mind on heaven. So live in the spirit, walk in the spirit abide by the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, and you can'the help but glean a real and deep longing for heavenly glories above. What enriches your spirit? Filling your heart and mind with  whatever is true, noble, right, Pure, lovely, admirable, or  anything excellent or praiseworhty. What enrichly Your spirit? Trusting and obey your Lord. I like this filling our heart and mind.
Sampson is a classic example of a person who operate in power but had little character. Sounds like the church of today in many way's, doesn't it? Especially when we realize that it was sampson was isolated and left for dead that his hair started to grow back. And i believe that spiritually, the hair of the church is beginning to grow back. The world has buried us as insignificant, but i want you to know, we are coming back. Spiritually, our hair is growing back, our source of strenght is returning to us. Do you know why? Because, more and more, the church is beginning to realize it's not in principles, it's not in formulas, it's not in methodology, but it's in relationship with Christ that true power flows.
The Apostle Paul said it so well; he said "above everything else, that I might know Him." And that is where the source of our strenght lies, in knowing the savior. You know why we lost our strenght? Because we've left our source. We started trusting in man and the super hero ministries he now. And it is sad to say that some of them had fall off their pedestals so we would wake up and realize that there is no person that is infallible and no ministry that is as important as developing a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. And anything above that is idolatry.
If you wouldn't miss a certain preacher on Tv every week no matter what, but your devotion and prayer tile is skipped on a regular badis, you need to repent of the sin of idolatry. You are elevatinng that ministry to a more important priority in your life than your personal relationship with God. You know what, every time that happens, you're getting a hair cut. We need a full head of spiritual hair do we operate in a full wave of spiritual strength.
When it comes to preaching about character and commitment, and what the Word of God has to say about these things, sometimes we view these things as boring. They are just foundational truths. Well, no house is stronger than its foundation. When the spiritual earthquakes come, that's when we find out whose house has been built earthquakes-proof.
I want to be a truly spiritual person, Lord, so help me to keep in step with your Spirit today. May my flesh diminish and my spirit increase as I set my heart and mind on things above. So do it also in yourself today!
Let our spiritual hair stretch today like this falcon spread her wing and set mind to you lord!

"Praying with Scripture"

"Is not my word like fire,' declares the Lord, 'and like
hammer that breaks a rock in piece?"
           Jeremiah 23:29

Would you like to have greater faith in prayer? Of course you would.
And it stands to reason that if faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the
Word of God, then Word alone is the source of faith, especially in prayer.

The Word of God is the Christian's true prayer book. The secret to
Receiving answers to prayer lies in how we use God's Word during prayer
Time that's why it's always a good idea to prayer next to an open Bible.
Do you want to tune your works of praise so they will rise like a beautiful
Worship song to the Lord? The fill your praises with praises with glorious
Words from the Song of Songs or verse of adoration from the book of Psalm.
Also, bring God's Word directly into your intercessions. Pray for your
Loved one on the basis of Colossians 1 or Psalm 20. Why is this so
Important? The psalmist said, "I will never forget your precept, for by
Them you have renewed my life." You bring God's power to bear in the
Lives of the people for whom you intercede when you bring God's Word
Into your intercessions.

Read portion of Scripture to prime your pump before you
Pray. Let the Spirit lead you to certain verse to use in your
Praise and intercessions. Then, develop personal prayers
That are enriched by those same verse. God loves to hear
His Word when you pray. It's like speaking His language!

Today, Lord, I praise You that Your Word is like a hammer
That breaks through my unbelief. Your Word is alike fire
That sets my heart aflame. Teach me to use all of Your
Word as a powerful tool in my prayers.

"Action Scream!

"hey, are you right? karen asks her puffy-eyed friend,
"yeah, I'll be fine, I'm just having one of those days
when it seems like I'm screwing Up everything in my life."
"Do you want to talk about it? "Not really."
"Ok, but I'm going to pray for you all day today,
           "Karen said assuringly.
"Thanks, but don't bother, I'll be fine , Tania says.

As humans, we have a tendency to place our trust in
Our experience what has worked in the past rather than
In God's words. and our actions, not our words, are
The best indication of where we're placed our trust.

John writes: "We know we have come to know Him
If we obey His commands. the man who says 'I know
Him,' but does not do what he commands is a liar and
The truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word,
God's love is truly made complete in him"(1 John 2:3-5).

Many people play religious games. They begin by stating
Biblical view, then contradict it. They say things like,
'I believe God has the power to help me, but. . . " or "
" Sure, I know God answers our prayers, but. . . " as
Soon as they add "but" to the end of those statement,
They are essentially admitting that they really don't
Believe God'd truth. their lack of faith causes them to miss
Out on some of the blessings God wants to give them.

Guess what? God wants us to depend on Him, even for
More faith! In the gospel of Mark, a man who lacked
Enough faith prays: "i do believe; help me overcome
            My belief!" (Mark9:24).
Jesus was able to work a miracle and heal this man's son.
When do you have a hard time believing God's promises?
When do you doubt that obeying His commandments is
Truly the best way to live? Maybe you've given up praying
For a difficult situation or a family member's salvation
            Because you've lost hope.

Today , ask for help with your unbelief :
" God, I do believe in You and the truth of your Word.
But I've been let down so many timess, that sometimes
I think You are going to fail me too. Help my unbelief!
Give me childlike faith so I can live my life by trusting in You,
Not by my own abilities or experience.
            Thank You."

"NOT ONE WORD Has FAILED"

"The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hill are clothed with gladness.
     Meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain;
They shout for joy they also sing
                                             Psalm 65 : 12-13

Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee that he may dwell in thy court; we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy temple. Our God called us blessed. God's creativity is all over the place literally called Earth. "That Not One Word Has Failed." Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and call them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strenght, not one of them is missing" (Isaiah 40:26) "Take a look at the mighty hippopotamus. I made it, just as I made you" (Job 40:15NLT (Look It Up) Not only is God's creativity all over the place, but He encouraged His creation to use their creativity too. In the very beginning of them; and whatever the man called each living creature; That was its name (Genesis 2: 19) The truth is, God could've named all of the animals Himself After all. He created them! But He gave Adam the opportunity to exercise to his God-give Creativity that Since we're made in God's image just like Adam was, We've got countless opportunity to put our creativity to work does that mean We have to bust out our glue and watercolor paint and make a masterpiece Not necessarilly. Creativity is bringing your unique gifts and talent to the table to make or create something.
Creativity can't always be held like your macaroni art from sunday School, but it can be recognized. Your fashion-forward friend didn't weave And spin her sweaters and skirts, but she did use her creativity to create outfIt. That are eye-pleasing. If you've labeled yourself as non-creative because your paintings don't turn. Out like Van Gogh's or you can't craft like your Aunt Cathy, you've confusing Having a certain skill like painting or singing or crafting with having creativity. (work it out) creativity is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets. Here are some ways to flex your ceativity muscle today: i clave His word verse 4 claim to me. How about you claim to. He said ALL the things shall be add unto us.

                 * write down 10 thing that you're thankful for. Sing a song
to God thanking Him For them (It doesn't matter if you
don't have a great singing voice. You're not On stage )

                 * creativity love your family by baking a batch of cookies for
them. Prayed for Family by baking a batch of cookies for
them. Family member as you bake. NAIL IT DOWN; God
enjoys expressing His creativity Read Genesis 1:4,10,12
                   18, 21,25 31.

" Whatever you do, Whether in word or deed, Do It All in the
name  of the Lord Jesus, Giving thanks to God the Father
                   through Him" Colossian 3:17
Another song to exalt our God

Title:            Not One Word Has Failed

Chorus:        Not one word has failed
And you know in all your heart
                    And in all your soul
That not one things has failed

Verse1:         You are the author and
                     the finisher of our faith
                     I'll trust in you...
I will hold on at your promises my Lord
And look back over and recount your many ways
God is faithful, because not one word has failed

Verse2:        Of all the good things
                   which our Lord God spake
                   Concerning me...
all has to come to pass over me...
God is faithful not one word of them has failed

"Do 4 Peace or Peace out"

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace
                                                                                                                    Psalm37:37

Tina and her younger sister, kim, are in a heated argument over a shirt. Kim borrowed it from       Tina, washed it, and returned it. But mysteriously, it has a stain on it, and that wasn't there before. Tina thinks her sister shoild buy her a new one. Kim doesn't see it that way.
" I don't know where that stain came from," Kim say's in defense. "It wasn't there when I washed it, so I don't think I should have to replace it"
After 30 minutes of going back and forth, Tina thinks her head is going to explode. "We're arguing over a measly shirt," Tina thinks. " Maybe peace in the house is worth the cist of letting this go."
(look It Up) When you're in a not-so-peaceful situation, sometimes you have to be the first one to reach out and take steps toward peace.
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everone" (Roman12:18) If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
That may mean biting the bullet and backing down from an argument that's going nowhere even if you're right.
When you put aside your desire to win in a confict, you're not only promoting peace, you're following God's lead.
Throught history, God has been wronged by the people He lovingly created. Yet it was Him, not us, who took the first step toward peace by sending His Son, Jesus.
" God was pleased. . . . Through (Jesus Christ) to reconcile to himself all things whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross" (Colossian1:19-20).

(Work It out) Here are some ways to restore the peace in a conflict that seems to be going nowhere:
                * If you're hot- heade, take some time off. Walk away.
*Ask an objective, non-biased person someone both you and the other person in th conflict agree on to help mediate between the two of you.
*If you still can't see eye to eye, agree to disagree.
                 * Refuse to be bitter. Remind yourself that God sees the other person as valuable. Ask Him to show you how to see him or her that way too.

what's in a Look?

"pheter replied, 'Man, I know what you're talking about"
just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. the Lord
Turned and looked straight at Peter. then Peter remember
The word the Lord had spoken to him: Before the rooster
Crows today you will disown me three times.' Andhe went
Outside and wept bitterly."                          luke 22:60-62

The eyes can give looks that love or looks that kill. When some you love holds your eyes with his, you're enraptured. But when that same person looks at you in deep disappointment, it cuts to the core.
Suppose  right now your eyes met the Lord's. What would you see? compassion and tenderness, yes But suppose if, in a thoughtless moment of self-centered sin. You slapped the Lord? In that horrible instant, what would you read in His eyes?
This once actually happened. Peter angrily denied Jesus. At that instant caught Scripture says the Lord looked straight at peter. Perhaps Jesus caught Peter eye's throught a window, or as He was being led through the  court. Whatever, this much is sure; their eyes, met.
It's impossible to say what was in the Lord 's eyes. I would like to think the look Jesus gave was not cutting or judgemental. I choose to believe that He gave was a look of hurt and disappointment, a sad yet tender expression in His eyes. And perhaps, for Peter, it was the look that both loved and killed.

Jesus always loves. That's why it's safr to say that the Lord was probably more concerned for Peter's pain and anguish than He was for His own plight. Like Peter, who wept bitterly, that fact alone should make us grieve all the more over our sins and offense.

At You look into my eye today, Jesus I hope You will see my love
And deep affection. May the ligth in my eye be a refflection of Your
                             Light in my life.

How Google AdWords Works [Infographic]

How Google AdWords Works [Infographic]

"Just Like Jesus"

Jessica brother ia a hiker, but
       he's not a Christian. Jessica is a
Christian, but she's not a hiker.
Despite that, Jessica takes a hike
with his brother once a month  to
show him that she cares about
       what he does.

The truest, most Christlike form of
creativity is loving people. Even when they're hard to love.
Jesus spent His whole life using
His creaivity to love the seemingly
unlovable. He ate meals with people
who were labeled unclean. He invited
the social "loser" to be His friends
(stinky fishermen were not high on
social ladder during Jesus time). And He
often had conversation with the social
outcasts ( like the woman at the well in
John4).
During one meal , when Jesus  was eating with the seemingly uncool, the
Pharises asked why He did it. Jesus
responded: "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick"
(Matthew 9:12).
Jesus used Hiscreativity His unique gifts and talents to see past people faults to their heart and their needs. Once He saw their needs, He
did what He could to meet them by
creating an atmosphere of love and acceptance. We can do the same
thing. ( Think it throught)

How can we see people's hearts and needs?. It's simple. Every single person has the same needs tobe loved and accepted. How they go about meeting those needs looks different for different peoole.
That's where our creativity comes in. We have to use our creativity to see that bully is really looking for love and acceptance, but it plays out in his  drive to be powerful and tough. Or that a class clown is looking for acceptance, but it plays out in his drive to get attention, and that's why he goes to every party and gets drunk.
Then to demonstrate Christ's love, we see past people's annoying habits or bad decision, choise not to condemn them, and use our creativity to think of what we can do to demostrate Jesus' love to them. Then we do it.

(Work It out) Want to show God's love?
Get to know someone outside your circle of friends.
Do something that he or she enjoys doing that you wouldn't normally do
( within God's boundaries, of course).
Pray for that person by name. Get a group if friends to pray throughout the day that person.
