Love Controls Us

2 Corinthians 5:14
The love of Christ control us. . .

The apostle Paul made a statement here that stands in contradiction to a popular message of legalistic religion. It is often taught today that our love for Christ should control us and cause us to behave. We're told the problem is that we don't love Jesus enough and that we simply need to love Him more
In this verse, Paul spoke in opposite terms. Suggested that it isn't our love for Christ that regulates our actions, but His love for us. He didn't say it was his love for Christ but the love of Christ that controlled him.
Don't constantly grade yourself on how much you love him. Instead, focus on how much He love you. To shift your focus in that way Will bring miraculous change. As you grow in understanding how much He love you, that knowledge will transform your desires and motivation so you find yourself wanting to live in a way that honor Him. Put your focus in the right place-----off yourself and on Jesus-----and watch what happen.
