Jesus took Peter, JAMES and John. . . and led them up high mountain. . . There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white. . . then a cloud appeared. . . and a voice came from the cloud; This is my son, whom I love Listen to Him!"
Once in a while you have a truly awesome day. Maybe you win a medal, or get elected class president, or make a great new friend. Those are "mountaintop days and they're great!
But to expect every day to be a mountaintop is unrealistic. You were not made only for mountaintops. Jesus taught peter, James and John this truth. One amazing mountaintop day they saw Jesus dressed in dazzling white, and they heard My voice boom out of heaven. Peter wanted to stay on that mountaintop, but Jesus led them down into the valley of ordinary days.
Enjoy the mountaintops, but welcome the ordinary days, too. Although they include some struggles and pain. I will use them to build muscle into your character.
