"Run away Run away

                         "The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
                             The righteous run to it and are safe.
                                            Proverb 18 : 10


Where do the good guys run to in the movies when the enemy storms the castle? The knights pull up the drawbridge, retreat into the inner tower, and wait it out. When your enemy is on your case, sometimes the best thing to do is to run.
The devil is a pretty smart guy, and if you try to defeat him in your own strength, you'll probably fail. He knows your weak points. He knows how to tempt you. When you feel like you're under attack and things are getting crazy in your life, run to Me. I will fight for you.
Sometimes the best offense is a good defenss. When you're feeling weak, run into tower. As you pray to Me and read My Word, I will guard you from the enemy. Run to Me!
In the medieval world, farmers would care care fir their crops until an enemy appeared on the horizon. Then they would flee with their families to their fortified city for protection fron the marauders.
        The city of Carcassonne has been a refuge for generations. Builtin the 5th century bc. This stone fortress has provided protection for Romans, Gauls, Visigoths, Franks, and French. Its spawling size and majestic watchtowers and battlements gave confidence to those hiding inside its protective walls.
        As believers, we can take refuge in the presence of the living Gox. The book of proverbs tells us. "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run to it and are safe" ( prov. 18:10). " the name of the Lord refers to God's character abounding with faithfulness power. And mercy. The terms safe means "set on high put of danger.
        We all face threats at times that make us want to run for cover; some seek security in material wealth or relationship. But the Christ follwer has a more secure refuge Because of who God is and what He can do for us, our best protection u
Timately rests in Him. Ic you are favi g a threat today, go to the Lord. Who is a strong tower. You will find in His care.
