"Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk
in your truth; give me undivide heart, that I
may fear your name.
Psalm 86:11
Sometimes it seems like the liars and crook
are the big winners while the people who do
right get the short end of the stick. Some don't
even care about right and wrong. They only
care about not getting caught.
Today we are in the midst of a culture war
and the deception of pragmatism. We are
confronted with far more than software piracy
or the bending of truth when it suit us. Many
people say: "If it work, do it; if you can get
away with it, why not?" This kind of
reasoning has engulfed our generation like a
fog that gradually drifted in, obscuring our
vision and darkened our lives. They seek
Council of the wicked.
Maybe some of your friends have that
attitude. They think you're a loser if you try
to be truthful and do the right thing. If that's
what your friends are like, you might need
some new friends. You see, I'm going to ask
you to stand in a hard place to value the truth
to stand up for what's right even when it's
popular.
I want you to know the payoff for living a
truthful life. It's an inner peace and happiness
that comes only from doing what's right in My
sight. It's a great way to live. You've got to
decide whether you will allow yourself to be
influenced by the moral deception. Let us read
again our devotion above,
