" navigating The Storm"

"He commanded and raises the stormy wind
and He brings them out of theirs distress." Psalm 107: 25-28

The ancient people of the nation of Axum
(located on the Red Sea in modern Ethiopia)
discovered that the stormy winds of the
monsoon season could be harnessed by sail
for speed navigation. Rather than dreading
the high winds and rain, they learned how to
navigate their way through the storm.
Psalm 107 provides a wonderful word
picture of how God allows storm to come
our way, and then provide help for us to
navigate through them. "He commanded
and raised the storm wind...and He brings
them out of their distresses" (107: 25-28).
Trusting God for guidance in trouble
times biblical theme. (Hebrews. 1:1) lists
many who used their problems as a
opportunity to exercise faith and to
experience God grace, provision and
deliverance: "who, who through faith
subdued kingdoms.work righteousness
obtained promises, stopped the mouth
of lions. Quenched the violence of fire,
escaped the edge of the sword, and out
of weaknesses were made strong"
(vv33-34). Stormy circumstances are
inevitable. Although our first reaction
may be to run From the problem, we
can instead ask God to teach us how to
trust  Him to navigate us through the
storm Here is a song.

              Who gave the rain

1.   who gave the rain
He had commanded the cloud above
to opened the door of heaven for us
He's the king of the flood
This revelation is given to us

Chorus: who gave the rain 3x

Bridge: Both the former and the latter
              It is the season

2.   Who gave the rain
       He had commanded the storm
       Peace be still
       you are the Lord,
       the savior of the world
       Let's us break up
       our fallow ground
       Till He come
       He comes and rain
