VERSE FOR TODAY: For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, do also through Christ our comfort overflows (2 Corinthians 1:5, New International Version).
HYMN FOR TODAY: "God will take Care of you"
Where is your quiet and safe place in life where you always go to find comfort and care? Every person needs comfort that touches both physical and emotional needs. Paul wrote to the Philippians (1:29) that they had not only the privilege of believing on Jesus but also that of suffering for Him. Today's verse reminds us that the source of our comfort, in the midst of suffering, is Jesus. In verse 3 Paul calls the Father "the God of all comfort."
In your suffering, seek the divine comfort. Do you suffer unjustly? Are you ever at the point of despair because you think you are alone? Jesus has been there. He knows your suffering and can bring the comfort that restores your soul.
Suffering people come to Jesus. The widow at Nain, Mary and Martha, the woman from Syrophoencia, thee demoniac across the Jordan, all needed comfort and came to Jesus. None were turned away. Read the Words of the psalmist: "May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your servant" (Psalm 119:76, New International Version). The love of Jesus reaches out to you. Allow His grace to comfort you and bring peace. And joy your life. "God will take care of you."
PRAYER THOUGHTS: Lord, at times in this pandemic you the God of all things you will restores it in Peace your grace and loving kindness hold all things and heal all thIngs, salvation has come. Praise be to God for Jesus,. Who is our my redeemer. Amen
