THE ETERNAL IS OUR HOPE

SCRIPTURE: Acts 2:47-47
VERSE FOR TODAY: For the promise us unto you, and to your children and to all that are afar off (Acts 2:39).
HYMN FOR TODAY: "The solid Rock"

Summer had been hot! One wondered if it would ever cool off. Then suddenly the temperature changed and our hope for pleasant weather returned.
After being sick for weeks, Billy lost hope of being well. But one morning he awoke.
The sun was shining. The birds were singing. New strength surged through his being. New hope awakened. Immediately he started making plans to play ball again.
You were going through a severe trial. There was no help in sight, and you were at your wits' end. Then the burdenbegan to lift. A ray of hope shone through.  A ton-sized load rolled off your shoulders
Jesus ascended to Heaven. The disciples waited for the promise of the Father. The Holy Spirit came and filled them with power and great joy. Buy some people felt left out. Peter then told them how they, too, could receive the Hholy Spirit. In fact, he said, "The promise is for you your children, and those who are far away." Three thousand souls believe him and asked to be baptized
Someone has said, "' Hope spring eternal' when the Eternal is our hope." Faith ion the power of God changes lives.
PRAYER THOUGHT: Thank You, heavenly Father, for sending the Holy Spirit to empower and comfort us. We need not to face our trials and challenges alone, for through Your strength we can face our trials and challenges alone, for through Your Strength we can be more than conquerors. We thank You for the hope we have in the Eternal. Thank You God that You never fail us. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
